Happy as You Want to Be

Almost everybody has heard the hit single 'Don't Worry, Be Happy' by Bobby McFerrin. This song has a very appealing way of expressing its message of being happy to everybody. Bobby Mcferrin's simple message certainly made many people happy by telling them not to worry.

Living a happy, lively and cheerful life is wonderful, and is also good for your health. Being happy in reality protects you from the tensions of life. Stress is linked to many of the top killers such as heart disease, cancer and stroke.

Among the best things ever said is - 'The only thing in life that will always remain the same is change', and in our life we have the power to make the necessary changes if we want to. Even if we find ourselves in an unbearable situation we can always discover solace in knowing that it too will change.

Social networks or relationships are all-important to happiness. People are different, accept people for who or what they are, avoid skirmishes, constant arguments, and let go of all kinds of bitterness. If arguments seem unavoidable still try and make an effort to comprehend the situation and you might just get past it.

Happiness is in reality found in everyone, increasing it is a way to make a life more wonderful and also healthier.

To be happy is relatively easy, just make a decision to be a happy person. Abraham Lincoln observed that most people, most of the time chose how happy or stressed, how relaxed or troubled, how bright or dull their mind-set was going to be. The choice is easy really, choose to be happy.

There are several ways by which you can do this.

Showing gratitude is an excellent attitude. We have so much to be thankful for. Thank the taxi driver for bringing you home safely, thank the cook for a wonderful dinner and thank the guy who cleans your windows. Also thank the mailman for bringing you your mail, thank the policeman for making your place safe and thank God for being alive.

News is stressful. Get less of it. Some people just can't begin their day without their daily dose of news. Try and think about it, 99% of the news we hear or read is bad news. Starting the day with bad news does not seem to be a wise thing to do.

A spiritual association is also recommended. Belonging to a spiritual group with its singing, sacraments, chanting, prayers and meditations foster inner peace.

Manage your time. Time is priceless and too crucial to waste. Time management can be viewed as a list of rules that involves scheduling, setting goals, planning, producing lists of things to do and prioritizing. These are the essential fundamentals of time management that should be understood to develop an efficient personal time management skill. These essential skills can be fine tuned more to include the finer points of each skill that can give you that extra reserve to make the results you desire.

Laugh and laugh warmly each day. Heard a funny joke? Tell your friends or family about it. As they say -'Laughter is the best medicine'.

Verbalize your feelings, affections, friendship and passion to others around you. They will more than likely reciprocate your actions. Make an effort to not keep represses anger or frustrations, this is bad for your health. Instead find ways of expressing them in a way that won't cause more distress or pain to anyone.

Working hard makes for tremendous personal gratification. It gives a sensation of being competent in finishing our tasks. Achievements are essential for all of us, they give us a sense of value. Work on affairs that you feel are worthy of your time.

Learning is a joyful exercise. Try and discover something new everyday. Learning also makes us expand and broaden our horizons. And could also give us more serendipity in the future.

Run, jog, walk and do other things that your body was made for. Experience life!

Avoid exposure to negative elements like loud noises, toxins and hazardous places.

These are the few simple things you can do day-to-day to be happy.

And always think of the quote from Abraham Lincoln, when he says that, "Most people are about as happy as they make up their minds to be.

The Science of Being and How to Manifest Anything You Want

These days there is a lot of talk about manifesting. Many people from various walks of life are saying that we ourselves have the power to create anything we want in our lives. There are even some physicists that claim that we, like some sort of mini-gods, have the power to create at our fingertips.

Now hold on, all you devout Christians, and don't get nervous. No-one is saying here that we are God, with that capital G. Just that we have some god-like characteristics. And one of them is the power to create. Now this is not a foreign concept to Christianity. If you remember your bible, it says that we are created "in the image and likeness of God.

As one thinks of this, one has to wonder if we are finally now hitting on some of the meaning of this quote, which has been much debated for over two thousand years.

The movie The Secret is saying it. Eckart Tolle is saying it. Even Oprah Winfrey is even saying it. With so many strong voices, who can deny- we do have the power to create our lives and our worlds. At least to some extent. And it seems that 'how to manifest anything you want' is largely about BEING the type of person who sends out the right energy to get it.

So we'll move away from religion and just assume this one, sort of common-sense concept. Namely, our mood, our outlook, our hidden agendas, our backgrounds, and just our way of being color our world and what happens to us.

So then if we believe this, we have to ask ourselves where did our way of being, our outlook, our thought process come from? How come, for instance, we are the way we are, and not some other way we could be? Did it all just happen by accident? Was it fate? Was it just my gene's? In short, exactly how do our very identities get created?

Well hold on to your hats folks, because the newest word on the streets is that WE OURSELVES created our identities. That's right, each one of us created our very own ways of being. And if this is true, logic would follow that we should be able to uncreate ourselves too. And then recreate our selves some other way as we prefer. And this in fact is what many people on the planet are doing. And they're doing it with great success- attracting whatever they want by changing their very way of being. And in order to do this they are utilizing the something called Ontology, or The Science of Being.

What is the True Difference Between Perception and Reality?

You walk into the room at a party and see a handsome man. He has on black jeans and a sexy black shirt. You are attracted to his chic sensuality. You are about to walk over to him when he turns his head and glares at you with a look of disdain. The look is clear. It says, 'Stay away, I'm not interested.'

If you are like most people you will slink away to the buffet- ego deflated. You may begin to wonder if it is the dress you wore, or the cologne he smelled from across the room. Perhaps you will consider throwing that stuff away. Perhaps you will think, I'm just not my most attractive today. Then you will avoid men for the evening, and when it is over, follow your lonely course home.

Now suppose you are on the other side and you are the male. Here's what may be happening for you. You have just taken a sip of your cocktail, and it is sour as a green lemon. You purse your lips to try to keep from spitting it out. You are noticing nothing but the bad taste in your mouth- and you are thinking of how to get rid of it without drawing attention.

His look of disdain was actually a reaction to his drink. He never even saw you until later, when he meandered over to the buffet and saw this vision in white. She was lovely, but she had an aloof look on her face. It was an above-it-all look. Still she was very appealing, in an odd sort of way. But he decided he was not up for the certain rejection, and walked away.

Now if we look, both of these people in this story are 100% sure that they know 'reality.' They are sure that they know the very thoughts in each others heads. And that is the difference between perception and reality. And because of their beliefs, which they take as real, these two potential soul mates never even meet.

And I would venture to say that this is how most of us do life. We go on our merry way, doing and not doing, based on what we think. And what we think is hugely colored by our judgments and assessment, beliefs and past. But we don't think it is colored. We think we are seeing the world how it really is.

Can you imagine how many opportunities we miss that we don't even know about?

We will look to see how setting aside limiting beliefs and assumptions can give us miracles in our lives- miracles in romance, career, finances, life-fulfillment, and every other are of life.
